RN
they're not fed-party-vans, just pizza delivery...
RN
this was a fun read, y'all probably already know this stuff. (specifically the recent mention about spec and contributor with no questions) jlowin.dev/blog/oss-maintainers-guide-to-saying-no
RN
perhaps the good doctor, not so much... ;) "new feature? yes!"
RN
*** giggles and runs from dr ***
dr|z3d
what you saying, RN?
dr|z3d
orignal: got + snark updated yet?
dr|z3d
bpb: don't forget to enable unsigned updates on /configupdate
RN
I'm just teasing you doc.
dr|z3d
:)
dr|z3d
not all new feature requests make it into +, but I'm not immune to suggestions :)
RN
yeah, no judgment of your dev versions, just seemed funny after I posted the link.
bpb
So that was painful.
bpb
So that whole "make sure you shut down and remove i2p before installing i2p+" was in fact good advice.
bpb
And "what's the worst that could happen?" became much less funny than I thought it was at the time of typing it.
dr|z3d
if you want a fresh install, make sure you don't have an .i2p folder from your old install.
bpb
I got it all fixed now.
dr|z3d
(just removing that with + shutdown and restarting will create a brand new config)
dr|z3d
great, well done. :)
bpb
I did notice a slight bug - and a lack of bug compared to canon - but I can't say it in this channel because RN will make fun of me.
dr|z3d
what bug you got?
bpb
*** sent a whisper to avoid RN's teasing. ***
RN
*** teases BluePerogiButter even harder ***
RN
also, bpb you missed #trivia!
RN
if you were playing or in the audience, I might have beat snex...
bpb
I was too busy getting hit by my network engineer daddy who saw I was looking at feet eepsites again, because I trusted you that lan sniffing wouldn't be a problem.
bpb
*** cries. ***
bpb
Though, I think the https proxy actually works for that? And same with the irc service tunnel?
RN
I said "if it is a problem then you got more issues than I2P can fix." actually. didn't say it wasn't
bpb
I2p can fix all my problems. I just need to punish myself in the config a bit more.
RN
ok, your threat model, your decision. ;)
bpb
Okay, now that I have i2p back up... I need to get radicle and yggdrasil running on it.
RN
fun stuff... I gotta afk for bad habit... back in about an hour.
bpb
Enjoy your lines of coke.
bpb
*** prefers pepsi. ***
RN
not that habit, just nicotine.
RN
maybe a beer...
bpb
Oh wow, radicle has a GUI now.
bpb
RN, install radicle with me! Let's make a repo where we update feet pics.
bpb
Or clone i2p+
bpb
That might be more topic appropriate.
bpb
Okay, so mirroring looks pretty easy - though still figuring out how to set it up to exclusively use i2p.
bpb
Oh dr|z3d, I'm trying to mirror i2p+ to radicle-via-i2p. Not sure if anyone's tried that yet, but seems like a fun test.
bpb
I know idk has written documentation for the before.
bpb
Where can I find the b32 for my server tunnels? I think in canon it's "Hidden Services Manager"?
dr|z3d
Tunnel Manager, expand the descriptions with the + symbol in the global tunnel control header.
bpb
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh
bpb
Thanks
dr|z3d
the truncated b32 will be displayed when the tunnel is running, if you select it, you'll get the untruncated version in your clip buffer.
dr|z3d
or maybe it's not truncated..
dr|z3d
either way, you got it :)
waffles
xHarr: qbittorrent but im not married to it or anything
waffles
im using a separate librewolf browser for i2p so i can use a separate torrent client for torrenting
bpb
thanks
dr|z3d
if it's not obvious, the status of the tunnels will update without an explicit refresh, for example if a server goes into standby mode, etc.
dr|z3d
(many of the pages in + auto-refresh, where there's dynamic data)
bpb
Anyone wanna help me test and see if I got i2p+ on radicle all within i2p without leaking my ip? lol
dr|z3d
if you hover over the 'file location' header on /routerlogs you'll expose an interval input that will allow you to configure the refresh interval.
