dr|z3d, with latest i2p+ dev, it seems it lost the startAllTorrents button, at least i can't find it. refreshed, but no button and the torrents have lost their start button too
uop23ip
changed the theme, but has no effect. button still missing
dr|z3d
uop23ip: yeah, chasing down some issues with snark.
wew
how do i improve ping response? what exactly is it doing? notbob.i2p/cgi-bin/defcon.cgi?search=wew&filter=
dr|z3d
wouldn't worry too much about that, latency is normal when you're routing over multiple routers.
wew
some hosts have stable low latency and some frequently getting 6s according to notbob graphs
wew
6 seconds isn't normal i think
dr|z3d
it's a bit slow, but it could be the application that's handling pings that's not especially responsive.
wew
so it's just doing get request?
dr|z3d
depends on whether or not your service/tunnel responds to pings.
dr|z3d
If it does, notbob uses i2p/i2ping <host> to ping you.
dr|z3d
if it doesn't, he uses i2p/eephead
dr|z3d
uop23ip: fixes for snark buttons landing shortly.
uop23ip
nice thanks, dr|z3d
dr|z3d
sorry for the inconvenience. not entirely sure where the bug snuck in.
dr|z3d
and there's likely still issues with standalone. but I'll get there eventually.
dr|z3d
ok, uop23ip, uploaded. please let me know if it fixes things for you.
dr|z3d
mareki2p: hopefully fixed the standalone stop/stop all snak issues. fixes on git.
mareki2p
will check in hour or two
dr|z3d
ok, no rush. strange bug, still no idea how it crept into the code.
dr|z3d
bonus feature. you'll now be informed in the terminal logs what revision of snark you're running.
mareki2p
about terminal logs: it says you can visit localhost 8002 even if you changed the port to different number
dr|z3d
yeah, that's hard coded right now. we'd need to parse the jetty file to make that accurate.
dr|z3d
ok, mareki2p, startup terminal logs should now reflect the actual host:port configured in the jetty xml.
dr|z3d
pushing to git shortly.
dr|z3d
new standalone build will arrive at skank hq in a minute or 3.
dr|z3d
Blinded message
mareki2p
Tested snark+ standalone, works fine.
dr|z3d
thanks, mareki2p
dr|z3d
presumably your port is correctly identified now?
mareki2p
Yes, the port number and the stop single torrent button works correctly now.
dr|z3d
excellent.
mareki2p
If I wanted to be annoying I would ask: Does it work with IPv6 only settings, tho.
dr|z3d
if you're relatively new to snark, you have an extra info panel available. if you hover underneath the stop/start column in the footer area, you'll see an icon..
dr|z3d
why shouldn't it work with ipv6? if your router does, it will.
mareki2p
Maybe I still live under the impression that IPv6 is not automatically implied in all networking products.
dr|z3d
underlying protocols like ipv4 and ipv6 are handled at the router level, not in i2psnark.

harry: whistle us a tune.
DirtyHarry
Whistling Mary Had a Little Lamb is like trying to play a piano with a spoon—impossible, yet charmingly absurd.
dr|z3d
harry: what can you tell us about hash collisions?
DirtyHarry
A hash collision occurs when two distinct inputs produce the same output.
DirtyHarry
While theoretically possible, such collisions undermine the security of hash functions like MD
DirtyHarry
5.
DirtyHarry
They reveal flaws in design, but practical applications remain secure.
DirtyHarry
A collision is a clever way to make a hash function insecure.

dr|z3d, startAll button is there again. But my router behaves unusual, running it for over 1 1/2 hours, 1 transit tunnel, very low 100 known and do not change much, i2p+ snark runs fine, but now my standalone 2.8.5 does not find any peers, all zero. :)
cumlord
also had some trouble earlier randomly with “trouble connecting to peer” and then torrent seems to eventually stop trying to download
