dr|z3d hi, GoosePolice2387. Please register your nick with /msg nickserv register chooseapassword fakeemail@yoohoo.com to achieve auto-voice status.
dr|z3d you can supply an @mail.i2p address if you want to be able to retrieve a lost password.
orignal lol, n#ggers cut fiber cable
orignal zzz how did stat.i2p handle triple-encyption key?
orignal sorry I was without internet for 3 days
zzz orignal, java should handle 3 or more keys in LS just fine, both at floodfills and for clients, both for trunk and for many years
orignal I'm asking if you saw any issues on your side
orignal mine was 6,4,0
zzz when?
orignal thursday
zzz I didn't have a lot of logging enabled, but the server saw it. If you got the response, then it worked
orignal yes, I saw response and connect with 6
zzz great. no explosions on this side
orignal I'm thinking to set 6,4,0 for proxy by default
zzz if you want
zzz we probably won't change any defaults for 2 releases
orignal ofc only if PQ is supperted
orignal because some chinese people want to run a eepsite with PQ only
zzz why?
orignal because they are chinesse people
zzz lol
zzz people are excited
orignal <orwas2> my guide
zzz good for marketing
zzz "I2PQ"
zzz we're better than tor la la la la la nyan nyan
zzz also: update on PQ SSU2/NTCP2 - a few weeks ago I said I might be ready in 6-8 weeks...
zzz I haven't started yet (((
orignal me too
orignal didn't have time
orignal do I have to build trunk to try 6 in snark?
zzz yes orignal
orignal will try
dr|z3d '/msg nickserv identify yourpassword' GoosePolice, when you have your registered nick (there's a 30s timeout before nickserv nerfs you).
dr|z3d '/msg nickserv help release' and '/msg nickserv help ghost' you may also find useful.
Leopold Sorry, I missed the response again: is there any progress on the issue regarding the inability to add trackers in the snark settings? And is there any logger for this channel available via http?
dr|z3d still looking into form submission in snark, logger available at major.i2p
dr|z3d what tracker are you trying to add?
Leopold Maybe major.i2p is occasionally disconnected from irc because it doesn't contain several of my messages on different days
dr|z3d more than likely, major is the logging bot.
Leopold I try to add a new entry for the postman tracker using the b32 native address
dr|z3d or, let me put it a different way. don't bother, that's already supported.
dr|z3d > String convertedurl = url.replace("ahsplxkbhemefwvvml7qovzl5a2b5xo5i7lyai7ntdunvcyfdtna.b32.i2p", "tracker2.postman.i2p") ...
Leopold But the tracker2.postman.i2p domain has a different b32 address: 6a4kxkg5wp33p25qqhgwl6sj4yh4xuf5b3p3qldwgclebchm3eea.b32.i2p
Leopold Am I correct in understanding that this is set in the code of the i2psnark client? And that in the event of a domain system collapse, my torrents will not be completely blocked since the torrent file only contains the domain names of the trackers and not their native b32 forms as I am trying to achieve?
Leopold Thanks Man)
cumlord you can use the b32 instead, but i wouldn't worry too much about domain system collapsing
Leopold I would just play it safe and add the b32 forms in the i2psnark settings so that my created torrent files include both versions of the tracker address. But a problem has arisen where the tracker addition form in the settings is not working
cumlord oh i think dr|z3d was saying that snark already does that but probably with the b32 for tracker2.postman.i2p
cumlord it has 3 announce b32s iirc
dr|z3d hello GoosePolice2386
GoosePolice2386 how are you
dr|z3d Leopold_: should be fine.
dr|z3d not bad, thanks, GoosePolice2386, welcome to #saltr. new to i2p?
GoosePolice2386 Yeah, how could you tell lol
dr|z3d just an educated guess :)
GoosePolice2386 I've been thinking about my privacy lately and one of 'mental outlaw' video really sold the idea of a decentralized encrypted network and immediately jumped in it
GoosePolice2386 I'm also running a floodfill router with unlimited bandwidth to support the network now
dr|z3d good stuff, he makes some informative videos.
dr|z3d floodfills are good, we like floodfills.
GoosePolice2386 are these the equivalent of bridge nodes for the tor network ?
GoosePolice2386 I haven't actually looked in depth of how the network works, but I know where to look
dr|z3d not really bridge nodes, no.
dr|z3d there's no equivalent in Tor, but you can think of floodfills as internal distributed dns resolution, something like that.
GoosePolice2386 Yeah that's what I was thinking off
GoosePolice2386 Tell me, what are leasesets
GoosePolice2386 hey sorry I got disconnected
dr|z3d You're running I2P+ over there?
GoosePolice2386 I am, only on my PC
GoosePolice2386 On my server I could only get i2pd to work out of the box on freebsd
dr|z3d OK, so you should probably visit 127.0.0.1:7657/help and 127.0.0.1:7657/helpglossary
dr|z3d You'll likely find answers to some of your questions there.
not_bob GoosePolice2386: Those are tunnel endpoints for a hidden service. This may be a http server, or your socks5 proxy that you use for browsing or many other things. Most of them are very short lived. Floodfills keep track of these.
