o/ dr|z3d - Had a unexpected router shutdown and restart. The (lengthy) error report begins with: A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x0000797c893d0aa6, pid=2965, tid=2967. I can wgetpaste the entire output of hs_err_pid2965.log if interested

are tunnels built using tls2?
orignal
no, tunnel build don't use tls2
dr|z3d
hi T3s|4. that appears to be a java error, those are infrequent but not entirely unexpected. not our problem.
T3s|4
noted dr|z3d - thanks, and np

Hm. I’m building a tool that scans b32s for services, and by far the biggest group are these unidentified ssl servers. When I probe them a bit they give me garbage unless I force tls2. Even then they have nothing to say to me and no certs
snex
I was thinking maybe they are intermediate participants in tunnels
zzz
you can't get into the middle of a tunnel from a b32
zzz
maybe it's some biglybt thing
zzz
or you're mistaking bittorrent for tls2
zzz
also iirc snark will ban you if you send it a http GET
snex
i dont know if amap can properly identify a bittorrent server but arent those non-ssl?
snex
not using http, using amap service probe
snex
looks like you might be right - local torrent client gives the same response
