snex
found a bug in snark+. in the info bar at the top, when you stop a torrent and it adds the message "Torrent stopped: [link to torrent]" it adds a closing span tag inside the link
snex
not sure if it is only + or in base too
dr|z3d
it'll be both, snex, feel free to fix it.
dr|z3d
or rather, it'll just be +
dr|z3d
both being standalone and embedded.
dr|z3d
I don't think vanilla linkifies the message log torrents refs. Might be wrong.
T3s|4
dr|z3d: noted on Hidden Mode, but I am not using it. I have Use all auto-detect methods set on both. Now /netbd reports 683 Unknowns (24 hours) on one rig and 545 (13 hours) on the other
T3s|4
*/netdb
T3s|4
now running 8+ on both :D
orignal
so, still no I2P statement about Durov's case
orignal
very expected
orignal
one of his change is "unlicensed cryptography"
snex
would anybody act surprised if he went to north korea and they arrested him for the same?
orignal
it doesn't matter what about him
orignal
the only matter is I2P's position
RN
I thought zzz made a tweet about Durov.
snex
he retweeted a tweet
RN
he didn't comment on it? I don't do the tweeter.
RN
also I recall orignal saying he didn't see said tweet for whatever reason.
snex
i dont see hardly anything zzz does on there unless i specifically go to his profile page
snex
theyre supressing him
RN
*** spanks Elon ***
RN
yeah, they blocked mine years ago. Tried to reactivate it but gave up.
snex
i think if you only retweet they lower you in the algo
snex
also base it on frequency and other hidden crap
RN
only tweeted once or twice and deleted them... but my account was likely tagged in effort to reduce bot accounts... this was several years ago.
RN
back when the "twitter readers" worked
RN
had the people I was interested in on a scrolling rss feed
snex
so they banned you for scraping
orignal
he didn't
orignal
he retweeted someone else's
orignal
I saw his retween finnaly
orignal
but it doesn''t say about I2P's position
orignal
also zzz shoulnd't go to Europe
orignal
to not be prosecuted for non-licensed cryptography
snex
does anyone even know his real identity or where he lives?
orignal
he went to the conferences few times
orignal
hence he had to show his passport at EU border
orignal
he claimed at the conference that he is zzz
orignal
and then when he went back to US he presented his passport to German police
orignal
hence is not anomynous for them
snex
dr|z3d: it seems the bug might be in net.i2p.data.DataHelper but i cant find that
snex
nothing inside of SnarkManager#linkify adds span tags but it calls DataHelper.escapeHTML
snex
found escapeHTML.. thats definitely not doing it either
RTP
My impression from TG charges is (obviously could be wrong here), perceived misrepresentation for Telegram encryption. Telegram as a social media platform (akin to others), where messages aren't e2ee - between parties only by default - from my impression (could be wrong) is the fact the messages in question were not truly e2ee means TG held possession of materials "in clear". Which takes away denial. I do wonder if
RTP
all were e2ee, w/there be any cause charged Durov? if unable to read them?
RTP
But it's a serious concern the charges for those who run social media type platforms. And have to wonder if charges would have been able to happen if the platform were unable to read all of the content they charged them with. Intent, knowledge of contents might be key to charges. But I'm guessing at this point. It's all rather concerning, but think it's mostly concerning to social media providers w/store content.
RTP
though as mentioned, I'm no lawyer.
RTP
Apparently Macron was a long-time user of TG from what I read. I'm really interested to know what or who is really behind this targeting. And what we don't know about it. I'm a free speech absolute person. And this entire case is concerning and might be intended to intimidate other platforms denying "moderation" (censorship). JMO
RTP
It's such a dangerous precedent. But not entirely unexpected in a country that targets people for imprisonment for "offensive speech".
RTP
Charges like undeclared encryption are old school from a treaty in the 1990's. Likely going to intimidate platforms into more aggressive AI shadowbanning / censorship. Maybe that's the goal.
StormyCloud
Hey RTP how are you doing?
