Hello, StormyCloud, is your outproxy down, or experiencing some kind of issue? I'm always getting a tinyproxy error. Thanks.
dr|z3d
looking at the UDP connections table, zzz. information overload there, I'm wondering what we can strip out.
dr|z3d
the ntcp connections table, otoh, is sane.
RN
you proposing to hide the current table behind 'advanced view' and trim down to more basic info?
dr|z3d
already do that.
dr|z3d
the advanced view is what I'm targeting.
dr|z3d
I might just add a toggle that hides a bunch of columns in advanced view.
dr|z3d
tables with a large number of columns and rows are bad, both for the load it places on the browser, and just as importantly, the load it places on the user trying to decipher them.
RN
without looking at a specific example, I'd generally agree
RN
with the idea
RN
some users will install special software to suss out a myriad of technical specs and details about their computer, but most users just want it to open google, or their email
RN
so, yeah, a 'basic' view with an 'advanced' option is a good idea. are you just pitching the general idea or do you have specifics that are being selected for inclusion/excl. at this point? [I had an IRC bouncer drop of buffers so missed out on a day or three of recent developments]
dr|z3d
I'm thinking out loud, with the suggestion that zzz might want to take a look in canon.
dr|z3d
I think I'm going to offer two separate pages for SSU, the "normal" streamlined version, and if advanced mode is enabled, a debug version with all the columns.
